Hello and Welcome!
The Bay Colony Tibetan Terrier Club is an AKC licensed club serving the Northeast region of the United States. Our membership is a combination of TT breeders and pet owners, working together for the betterment of the breed. We hold our annual Specialty in conjunction with Ladies Dog Club. Our 2019 event is scheduled on Saturday, June 1st in Wrentham, Massachusetts to be held at the Cracker Barrel Fairgrounds. This year’s judge will be Michael Canalizo. We are also sponsoring a Supported Entry on Sunday, June 2nd under judge Allen Odom.
Our Annual Specialty Shows in conformation offer regular class competitions and sweepstakes. We also provide educational seminars on occasion, as well as hosting Fun Matches or Sanctioned B Matches every other year.
Our mission is simple:
To foster and maintain friendship and the highest level of sportsmanship among our members.
Toward that end and because our members are a combination of pet owners and breeders, we are committed to the following:
To encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Tibetan Terriers and to do all possible to preserve the breed’s natural qualities.
To urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the AKC as the only standard of excellence by which Tibetan Terriers shall be judged. Our breed standard can be reviewed at http://www.ttca-online.org/html/TTCA_Illustrated_Guide_2011.pdf
To do all in our power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsman-like competition at dog shows and obedience trials.
And so as to fulfill our obligations as a licensed AKC breed club, we also offer the following:
We conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows and obedience trials under the Rules and Regulations of the American Kennel Club and promote the program and purpose of the Tibetan Terrier Club of America as expressed in the constitution and by-laws. The TTCA (Tibetan Terrier Club of America) is our parent breed club and a separate organization. Information about the TTCA can be found at ttca-online.org
